This house is an absolute gem, and so are its gracious owners. I was working at nearby Tanglewood over a recent summer weekend - the proximity of that musical Mecca is reason enough to stay - and I brought my wife and daughter along too. We were blown away by the beauty and sophistication of the house and gardens, but what was most impressive is how comfortable and homely it is, despite the luxury. Sometimes grand country homes can be a bit cold in design and atmosphere (I'm a Brit, trust me!) but Jamie and Ethan have pulled off a rare miracle in creating a tasteful home that's faithful to it's 1920s origin, that's also supremely family friendly. Their personal care and attention was a delight and we enjoyed great company and a restful few nights of sleep, despite having an 18-month-old in tow. We cannot recommend this wonderful place highly enough.
